I was part time for Matalan as a sales assistant, delivery and replenishment team. Here my responsibilities were working mainly on the till and customer service, shop replenishment and to undertake deliveries. In my role as sales assistant I worked on all the departments in the store. I also showed my creative side as I was asked to help dress display and help set up graphics in the windows.
Was full time with Next retail in Selly Oak, as a Home wear Manager. In this roll I have managed staff, done staff rotas, floor rotas and distributing jobs within the day. I use my creative design techniques by arranging the faze changes within the shop floor, helping to improvise as and when. I have also have worked with the company’s marketing arranging shop floor displays and I have also been given responsibility to dress mannequins with in the store. I have also worked on the delivery and replenishment team ensuring all clothing items are ordered and stock is updated, working within tight deadlines and ensuring high standards are met and the delivery is done by a set time scale. My favourite part of my job was front of store as here I could talk to every customer that came in, meet countless people every day which kept you on your toes making every day different.
Over the summer I spent 3 months as a public relations rep and sales assistant for the attraction Sling Shot, it was amazing and such fun. It also was a chance to improved my customer service with challenging customers as being located on the Magaluf strip you work with a lot of intoxicated people.

A High level of student customers at this shop gave me the experience to do varied styles. I ran the shop over the time I was here as the owner of the salon was away ill, My position was short lived as I was taken on at Aceface Barbers.
August 2014 / December 2014
A Vintage British barber shop, with a big MOD and Rocker influence which gave me the opportunity to home in on my skills to do cuts of this style. The Mod or Paul Weller cut is a talent in its self and a proud moment as a barber to achieve with repeat custom. Here I expanded my knowledge on product, using a lot of Pomades (mainly Uppercut, Layrite, Suavecito) and the amazing finish they can bring.
January 2015 / May 2015
This Shop was mainly corporate styles as the majority of customers were businessmen. At this shop I worked often on my own which has gave me an insight in to owning my own business in the future, it was fantastic to have so much customer compliments not only on the hair cuts being given but also on the work I had done to the shop. Using my commercial side gained from years of retail to its fullest.
Sadly the only reason for my leaving was wages were not being paid.
